Since its establishment in 1998, the USC Robotic Embedded Systems lab has been active in many areas of robotics research. We are an intellectually curious group with a strong focus on experimental robotics. We occasionally build hardware, but our activities are primarily centered around algorithms and software systems for robots. A common thread through many of our projects is our interest in multi-robot systems and networked robots and an emphasis on planning and optimization. In addition to these areas, we also work on robot learning and robot manipulation.
